Hi Alan,
That's the problem with the Major Companies all these different racquets (I understand everyone needs to make a buck), but they want you buy a new racquet every time you move up a level, then when you reach the next level you have to buy the next one. Convenient when you're trying to sell. Hey, I'm trying to sell as well but with AVERY there are only 3 racquets to choose from and they are all the type of racquets that will serve you well for many years whether you're a 2.0 or a 5.0. I believe a player should play with the best racquet they can get their hands on, from day one. Why risk hurting your arm and play with something that does not give you the best chance to develop as a player? In other words, why play with a Yugo when you can play with a Ferrari from the start. By the way back in the day of the Jack Kramer there were only a handful of other racquets on the same level, Dunlop Maxply (which I preferred) and the Tad Davis. I hope this helps.
All the best,
Tom
